Questions
Frequently asked questions
The questions directors ask us most often. If yours isn’t here, get in touch.
Will this affect my credit score?
Filling in our enquiry form doesn’t involve a credit check, so it won’t affect your credit score. If you go ahead with a broker or lender, they may run their own checks later. They should tell you before they do.
How much can my company borrow?
Enquiries can be for anything from £1,000 to £1,000,000. What a lender will actually offer depends on your company’s turnover, trading history, credit record and the type of finance.
Who can use LendFinder?
UK limited companies (Ltd and PLC) only. We can’t help sole traders or partnerships at the moment. Our partners usually look for at least 12 months of trading and £100,000 or more in yearly turnover, but you can still make an enquiry if you’re below that.
Why do you ask whether I own my home?
Some lenders ask directors to give a personal guarantee, and some secured loans use property as security. Knowing whether you’re a homeowner helps us introduce you to a broker whose lenders fit your situation. You don’t need to be a homeowner to make an enquiry.
Do I have to accept an offer?
No. There’s no obligation at any stage. You can stop at any point, and any offer from a lender is yours to accept or turn down.
How does LendFinder make money?
Our partner brokers and lenders may pay us a fee for introducing a business to them. You don’t pay us anything. Brokers may charge their own fees, which they must explain to you before you agree to anything.
Who will I be introduced to?
One of the partner brokers or lenders named in our privacy policy. We tell you who before we pass your details on.
How long does it take?
The form takes about a minute. We aim to call you within working hours on the same day. How long a lender takes to decide varies from lender to lender.
